Abstract :
This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class students of SMP Negeri 6 Tapung through the application of contextual teaching and learning (CTL). The subjects in this study were class studentsSMP Negeri 6 Tapung in the academic year 2019/2020 with a total of 26 students. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data analysis technique used was in this research is qualitative and quantitative analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from the results of observations of teacher and student activeness during learning which showed an improvement in the learning process from cycle I to cycle II and quantitative data were obtained from the results of students' daily tests (UH). Based on the KKM neatness analysis, it shows that the percentage of completeness in cycle I (15 students) is average and cycle II (21 students) is an average which is the basic score only (9 students) with average . Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students in the class of SMP Negeri 6 Tapung in the 2019/2020 academic year.
