Abstract :
Rumbai Pesisir is the largest central production of catfish in the city of Pekanbaru. Research This aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of catfish farmers, (2) Technology of fish farming catfish, (3) Use of production factors, production costs, and income of catfish farmers, (4) The dominant factor affecting catfish production. The research method uses survey method on catfish production in Pekanbaru's Rumbai Pesisir District. The sampling technique using Random sampling is 48 farmers catfish. The results of the study show that: Age of 46-year-old catfish farmer, level high school education, number of family members with 5 souls, experience in fish farming 9 year catfish. The technology of catfish farming in the research area is not yet in accordance with cultivation standard. Use of catfish production factors, namely pool area, labor, seeds, feed, vitamins and medicines and equipment. Average fish pond area catfish 339.46 m 2 / Production process, workforce 41.35 HKP / seed production process Rp. 3,937,984.38 tail / production process, feed Rp. 30,685,416.67 kg / production process. Average production of Rp. 3,705.83 kg / production process. Average production costs Rp. 45,453,673.31 / production process. Average revenue Rp. 56,410,312.50 / process production. Average income of 10,956,639.14 with RCR of 1.26. Factor that is has a positive effect on catfish production in the vast coastal city of Pekanbaru pond and catfish feed.
