Abstract :
This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Pekanbaru, Riau Islamic University, for 4 months starting from November 2018 to February 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effects of various Growtone concentrations and immersion time on the growth of image guava cuttings (Eugenia aquae. F) on peat media. The design used is factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of two factors. The first factor is various concentrations of Growtone (G) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 10, 20, 30 g / liter of water. The second factor is the immersion time (L) which consists of 4 levels, namely 20, 40, 60, 80 minutes. The parameters observed were age of shoots (days), percentage of growing cuttings (%), number of shoots (stems), number of leaves (strands), longest shoot length (cm) and number of primary roots (strands). The data were analyzed statistically and continued to BNJ level 5%, the results showed that the interaction of Growtone concentrations and immersion time on the growth of image guava cuttings showed a significant effect on the parameters of age of shoot emergence, percentage of growth, number of shoots, number of leaves, longest shoot length and the number of primary roots, the best treatment for a combination of Growtone concentration of 20 g / liter of water and 40 minutes of immersion time (G2L2). The treatment of Growtone concentrations mainly gave a real influence on the paramerter age of shoots, percentage of growing cuttings, number of shoots, number of leaves, longest shoot length and number of primary roots with the best treatment of 20 g / liter of water (G2). The duration of immersion treatment with the main influence gave a significant effect on the paramerter age of shoots, percentage of growing cuttings, number of shoots, number of leaves, longest shoot length and number of primary roots with the best treatment soaking time 40 minutes (L2).
