Abstract :
student of
Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau,
completed an essay entitled ?Effect from Combination of Fermented Waste Tofu
and Cassava with Different Percentages to Growth and Production of Maggot
(Hermetia illucens)? under the guidance of Mr. Ir. T. Iskandar Johan, M. Si. The
research was conducted on February 8, 2019 - February 22, 2019 at the Fish Seed
Center Agriculture Faculty Islamic University of Riau. The method used is the
experimental method in the form of Completely Randomized Design (CRD)
where the treatment given is a combination with a different percentage of BSF
maggot live media. The treatment of maggot growing media was 5 treatments
with 3 replications. In the growth of maggot weight, the highest treatment is at P4
which is equal to 0.146 grams/individual maggot and the lowest was P5 that is
0.102 grams/individual maggot. The highest growth of maggot length in this study
was at P4 which was 1.55 cm/individual and the lowest P5 was 1.10
cm/individual. For the specific growth rate (SGR) of maggot during the study it
was P4 0.14% and the lowest P5 was 0.10%. While the highest maggot production
obtained on the last day of the study was at P4 which was 78 grams and the lowest
was P5 which was 67 grams. From the results of the maggot protein content test
performed, the highest protein yield was P1 22.6398% and the lowest was at P5
14.3435%. While the measurement of maggot media obtained temperatures of 29-
32ºC, ph of 6.8 - 6.9 and humidity of 58.6 - 62.5%.
