Abstract :
This study aims to determine the description of the meaning of life for diabetes mellitus patients in middle adulthood. This study was conducted on two subjects with type II diabetes mellitus in middle adulthood. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach by conducting observations and interviews with the subjects. Subject I and II have a picture of the meaning of life that health is very important and valuable. The subjects also carried out various treatment methods as guidelines and directions to recover from their illness. Subject I felt that he did not experience any obstacles despite having diabetes mellitus, meanwhile subject II had got an obstacle because he had amputated his right leg. The subject's biggest wishes are to be healthy as usual and find a treatment that can really cure patients with diabetes mellitus.
