Abstract :
The problems underlying the research is the rise of juvenile delinquency action undertaken by the community of motorcycle gang in the city of Pekanbaru that makes parents and communities are getting restless. One of the factors that are assumed to underlie behavior of juvenile delinquency is the tendency of adolescents identify himself into a group of motorcycle gang who then personal identity herself into the social identity of the motorcycle gang group , where the social identity (norms, values, rules, culture and behavior) motorcycle gang that tends toward delinquency. Thus the purpose of this research was to prove a correlation between social identity with juvenile delinquency in the community of motorcycle gang in the city of Pekanbaru. This research was conducted with the quantitative approach, in which the measuring instrument data collection research using the scale. The scale used is the scale of social identity and scale of juvenile delinquency. The sample in this research is a member of a community of motorcycle gang in the city of Pekanbaru as many as 40 people who are determined by the technique of quota sampling. Based on the results of the analysis of the data by using the technique of spearman?s rho correlation found correlation coefficients (r) of 0.466 with significance (p) of 0.002 (p < 0.01). Thus the hypothesis in this study was accepted as the conclusion of the study, meaning that there is a significant correlations between social identity with juvenile delinquency in the community of motorcycle gang in the city of Pekanbaru.
