Abstract :
This study is motivated by the level of poverty and the continuing emergence of zakat management institutions, one of them is Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau. With this poverty level, Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau continues to strive to raise funds properly in order to help the people especially the weak or powerless so they will have strength and ability. The problem formulation of this study: how are fundraising strategies in Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau. The aim of this study is to investigate the fundraising strategies in Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau. The subject of this study is Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau and the object of this study is the fundraising strategies in Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau. The population and sample of this study are Amil (the Head of Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau). The type of this study is field research with descriptive qualitative method. Data sources consist of primary and secondary. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation. Data processing techniques include data collection, editing and interpretation of data. The data analysis techniques include reduction, data display and verification. The results of this study show that the fundraising strategies in Laznas Dompet Dhuafa Riau consist of two aspects, namely 1) Identifying the potential donors or muzaki candidates with database selection indicators, viewing databases, utilizing friends? help, knowing donors' relatives, analyzing the needs of donors, conducting meetings with donors, and 2) applying fundraising methods with direct and indirect indicators.
