Abstract :
23rd State Junior High School Pekanbaru, located on garuda sakti street km. 3 Tampan subdistrict, Simpang Baru village is an educational institution under Pekanbaru department of education. Parents always willing to know about the activities and the attandance at school. In this case, 23rd state Junior High School Pekanbaru is facing a problem because the process of attendance and study monitoring are still done manually. The web-based monitoring information system is built to solve that problem, this system has an ability to process data quickly and accessiable by the parents using web. By using this system it is expected that the problem is solved. In this methodology,several steps are done to built the information system such as system analytic, system design, system implementation and system testing. After all of those steps are done, then monitoring information system which suitable with the needs are created. The result of the system implementation is 90% success rate. It shows this system is able to become solution for parents to monitoring the student attendance and children development.
