Abstract :
This research is about community participation level in tourism object development of Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban waterfall at Lubuk Ambacang Village, Hulu Kuantan Distric, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research begins by concerning the development phenomena of tourism at Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban Waterfall which has not reached the optimum level of community participation, it is obtained slightly positive impact. This research is aimed to know the community participation level, supporting factors and obstacle factors of tourism object development of Air Terjun Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban at Lubuk Ambacang Village, Hulu Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi. This research uses qualitative approach, the data collection technique uses question sheet, interview and literature study. The data which used are primary and secondary data obtained by government agency of tourism, the sampling technique of this research is random sampling and data analysis of this research uses descriptive qualitative method. From the result of this research, it can be concluded that community participation level toward tourism object development Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban waterfall is low level, they less open for the new things which can build their own land. This matter caused by participation level and the awareness about tourism and also it caused by less insight of knowledge toward Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban waterfall at Lubuk Ambacang Village, Hulu Kuantan Distric, Kuantan Singini Regency. Due to lack of community awareness The Tujuh Tingkat batang Koban Waterfall is not well managed and it is not known by outside community, and it is become barrier of Tujuh Tingkat Batang Koban Waterfall Development.
