Abstract :
Scale is one of serious problem at oil and gas field. Scale which is existing in oil well really disturb in oil producing, when it is existed for a long time will cause of tubing inside diameter, and it will reduce flow rate in oil/gas well. X field is very potential contaminated by scale because water produced is rate 85% of water cut. This research will discuss about indication of scale by using Stiff and Davis Stability Index method by calculating the composition of produce water which is contaminated by scale . Beside that, this study is also OLI Studio 9.6 simulation to determine the growth and thickness of the scale. The T-104 well and T-109 well on the X field indicate a scale of with a value of SI > 0. While for scale growth in T-104 wells and T-109 wells each reached and can be as not having a scale growth. The smallest scale growth value should not be ignored, because the T-104 wells forms scale reaching 0.040 in and T-109 well form a scale reaching 0.067 in which fall into the medium category after the well is produced until 14 and 15 years.
