Abstract :
The investigation area is part of the Tanjung Village area, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Geographically, it is located in the coordinates 0°17'00"S - 100°34'15"E and 0°19'30"S - 100°36'45"E. The study area occupies part of the Central Sumatra basin, the stratigraphy of the study area based on the geological map of the Pekanbaru sheet (Heidrick and Aulia, 1996) includes the Sihapas formation and the Telisa formation. The purpose of this study was to determine the geological characteristics based on the depositional environment and to determine the development of the transitional depositional environment in the study area. This research method uses geological data, rock incision data and literature that supports the description in the form of a diagram of the depositional environment of Broggs, 1995 so that it can be concluded that the development of transitional depositional environments in rock units in the study area.
