Abstract :
At this time network security is very important and must be considered, especially on networks connected to the internet or a wifi, because basically the network is not always safe and there are always people who want to exploit the network, both from wired LAN and wireless LAN networks. In the construction of a security system design that has been connected to an internet must be planned and can be understood by users in order to protect the resources that are in the network and can minimize attacks that occur by someone who is not responsible. Wireshark is a packet sniffer application that is useful for performing a network security protocol analysis. This application can block traffic on the LAN network, steal passwords, and make active eavesdropping on common protocols. While Netstumbler is a wifi hacking tool that is used to detect and identify open wireless signals and infiltrate the network.
