Abstract :
This research aims to determine the suitability of the accounting application carried out by the motorbike repair shop in Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru with the basic concepts of accounting. In this study the authors used a purposive sampling method, namely the type of random sample selection whose information was obtained using certain considerations (generally adjusted to the objectives or research problems). By using this method the authors took a sample of 20 motorbike repair businessmen in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru. The data collection technique used by the author in conducting this research is quantitative methods, namely distributing questionnaires, conducting structured interviews and making observations. Based on the results of this study indicate that the application of accounting carried out by the motorbike repair shop in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru has not fully implemented the basic concepts of accounting.
