Abstract :
This study aims to determine the development of Saman's extracurricular dance at SMPN 1Rumbio Jaya. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method of analysis with qualitative data, the reason being this method was designed by directly the object offered. It should automatically be more than what is done by students and students who take samples of research locations in jl. Raya Pekanbaru - Bangkinang Km 29, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, the sample used was a purposive sample from the results of research, the research findings of holding extracurricular activities were to develop students' talents in the field of dance. It is expected that with this activity, the talents of each student will be channeled into the field of dance. The training material at SMPN 1 Rumbio Jaya is Saman Dance. The method used in coaching is the lecture method, question and answer and practice method. Facilities and infrastructure at SMPN 1 Rumbio Jaya Include Room, Laptop, cellphone and Speaker. Direct Assessment during the training process, the approved discipline was given qualitatively
