Abstract :
The problem in this study is that technical preparations, physical preparation, arm muscle power against javelin throwing results in male students of class XI Building Drawing Technique at SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci and the purpose of this study to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to javelin throwing results in students son of class XI Engineering Building Drawing SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci. This research is descriptive quantitative research. The reseaech subjects were male students of class XI Building Drawing Technique of SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci, amounting to 20 people. The data collection methods used were arm muscle power tests and javelin throwing tests and data analysis techniques using correlation tests. The results showed that arm muscle power had a contribution to the javelin throwing result of 12,74% and the remaining 87.26% was influenced by several factors including strength, coordination and flexibility. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between arm muscle power on javelin throwing results in students XI Image and Building Engineering of SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kerinci at 12,74%.
