Abstract :
Konflik suporter sepakbola seringkali terjadi di dunia sepakbola Indonesia. Salah satunya yang paling terkenal adalah rivalitas kelompok suporter Persib yaitu Viking dengan kelompok suporter pendukung Persija yaitu The Jak Mania. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan berbagai pihak baik aparatur pemerintah maupun masyarakat agar konflik ini tidak terjadi kembali. Namun, konflik antara Viking dengan The Jak Mania terus berlangsung hingga terdapat korban jiwa. Upaya pencegahan konflik tersebut juga dilakukan oleh Viking, salah satunya melalui komunikasi kelompok. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa komunikasi kelompok yang digunakan Viking sebagai upaya pencegahan konflik dengan The Jak Mania adalah komunikasi kelompok dengan jenis komunikasi kelompok yang memiliki fungsi terapi yaitu komunikasi kelompok digunakan untuk mengubah pemikiran atau pendapat orang lain. Dalam menjalankan komunikasi kelompok, Viking melalui dengan dua cara yaitu pertemuan langsung saat dalam acara kumpul rutin maupun dengan menggunakan media whatsapp. Komunikasi dalam kelompok sangat berperan besar dalam menjaga kelangsungan kelompok dan mencegah konflik dengan kelompok lain. Kata Kunci : Komunikasi Kelompok, Viking, The Jak Mania Football supporters' conflicts often occur in the world of Indonesian football. One of the most famous is the rivalry of the Persib support group namely the Vikings with a group of Persija supporters namely The Jakmania. Various efforts have been made by various parties both government officials and the community so that this conflict does not recur. However, the conflict between the Vikings and The Jak Mania continued until there were casualties. The conflict prevention efforts were also carried out by the Vikings, one of them was through group communication. This study found that group communication used by Viking as a conflict prevention effort with The Jak Mania is group communication with a type of group communication that has a therapeutic function, namely group communication used to change the thoughts or opinions of others. In carrying out group communication, the Vikings through two ways, namely direct meetings during routine gatherings and using whatsapp media. Communication in groups plays a big role in maintaining the continuity of groups and preventing conflicts with other groups. Keywords: Group Communication, Viking, The Jak Mania
