Abstract :
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bagaimana representasi ?Hustle Culture? dalam video youtube Vice Indonesia yang berjudul ?996 Budaya Kerja Ekstrim Di China?. Adapun Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai representasi hustle culture pada budaya kerja 996 dan dampak yang terjadi pada pekerja yang melakukan kerja 996, sehingga mempengaruhi kehidupan sehari-harinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis teks kualitatif, yang dimana meneliti sebuah dokumen yang berupa teks, gambar dan lain sebagainya, agar memahami suatu budaya dari sebuah konteks sosial. Analisis ini bersifat mendalam terhadap suatu isu dalam informasi tertulis dan tercetak pada media massa, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis semiotika dari De Saussure yaitu penanda dan petanda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya 8 tanda yang merepresentasikan hustle culture atau ?Budaya Kerja 996? yaitu: a) Kegiatan rutinitas untuk mencapai kesuksesan, b) Bekerja tanpa jeda, c) Burnout syndrome atau stres berat, d) Selalu memikirkan pekerjaan, e) Target pekerjaan tidak realistis, f) Adanya tekanan pekerjaan, g) Suatu kebiasaan yang sangat mengikat, h) Mengalami depresi. Kata Kunci: Representasi, Semiotika, Hustle Culture, Budaya 996. / This study discusses how the representation of ?hustle culture? in vice indonesia?s youtube video entitled ?996 extreme work culture in China?. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the hustle culture representation in the 996 work culture and the impact that occurs on workers who do 996 work, thus affecting their daily lives. The research method used is qualitative text analysis, which examines a document in the form of text, images and etc, in order to understand a culture from a social context. This analysis is in-depth on an issue in written and printed information in the mass media, using the semiotic analysis technique of De Saussure, namely the signifier and the signified. The results of this study indicate that there are 8 signs that represent hustle culture or ?Work Culture996?, namely: a) Routine activities to achieve success, b) Work without pause, c) Burnout syndrome or severe stress, d) Always think about work, e) Unrealistic work targets, f) There is work pressure, g) A habit that is very binding, h) Experiencing depression.
