Abstract :
Hasil Sensus Penduduk Departemen Kesehatan tahun 2010, Indonesia saat ini termasuk ke dalam lima besar negara dengan jumlah penduduk lanjut usia terbanyak di dunia yakni 18,1 juta jiwa atau 9,6% dari jumlah penduduk. Berdasarkan data WHO tahun 2010 jumlah wanita menopause di Asia pada tahun 2025 akan mencapai 373 juta jiwa. Usia menopause di Indonesia ± 49 tahun, tetapi biasanya sejak wanita di atas 40 tahun menstruasi sudah tidak teratur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku wanita usia 35 - 45 tahun di Kelurahan Cawang RW 06 Tahun 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang bersifat deskriptif yang dilakukan pada bulan September - Oktober dengan total responden sebanyak 70 orang. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh karakteristik tingkat pengetahuan wanita dalam menghadapi menopause dengan persentase 17,1% responden termasuk kategori pengetahuan baik, sebanyak 60% responden dengan kategori cukup dan 22,9% responden pengetahuannya termasuk ke dalam kategori kurang. Karakteristik sikap wanita dalam menghadapi menopause dengan persentase 51,4% responden mempunyai sikap positif dan 48.6% responden mempunyai sikap negative. Karakteristik perilaku wanita dalam menghadapi menopause dengan persentase 64,3% berperilaku baik dan 35,7% responden berperilaku buruk dalam menghadapi menopause.
