Abstract :
The application of conventional learning methods is still often used as a learning
method in schools. The current application of learning models causes low interest
and student learning outcomes in physics subjects. Therefore, it is necessary to
conduct research to increase student interest and learning outcomes. One of the
efforts that researchers have done is to use a Take and give learning model assisted
by video media to increase student interest and learning outcomes. This research
was conducted at Pusaka 1 High School Jakarta in the 2019/2020 school year. This
study uses a quasi-experimental method, the sampling technique is purposive
sampling, namely XI IPA 1 as the control class and XI IPA 2 as the experimental
class. Based on the results of the hypothesis test there is a significant influence using
the take and give learning model assisted by video media to increase student interest
and learning outcomes in the experimental class. The results of the gain test in the
experimental class for interest are 0.318 included in the medium category, in
learning outcomes 0.615 included in the moderate category. Whereas in the control
class the gain of learning interest 0.1814 included in the low category, in the
learning outcomes 0.190 included in the low category. Thus it can be concluded
that the influence of take and give models is assisted by video media to increase
interest and learning outcomes in physics.
