Abstract :
This research discusses about Indonesia's Strategy in Maintaining Fisheries Subsidies at the WTO Forum. Indonesia as a member of the State of the WTO is required to follow the rules of the rules applicable in the WTO especially on subsidies in fisheries. Subsidies in fisheries in Indonesia itself is still very necessary given the Indonesian fishermen who rely their lives on government subsidies. Subsidies in fisheries in Indonesia are still indispensable Indonesian fishermen whose lives are on government subsidies. The main target of small scale. Indonesia is active in important WTO meetings that discuss the development of fisheries subsidies. Each Indonesian meeting seeks negotiations to achieve national interest. In 2017 it is agreed that fishery subsidies can still be provided by developing country countries. However, Indonesia still must monitor so that future interests can still be met. This fishery subsidy will be eliminated given that the subsidy is only temporary. Indonesia must also prepare its small scale to be independent in the future.
