Abstract :
Nagoya Hill Mall merupakan salah satu Mall yang berada di kota Batam Kepulauan Riau. Banyaknya pengunjung yang datang tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan lahan parkir sehingga diperlukan fasilitas parkir yang memadai. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengevaluasi karakteristik parkir di Nagoya Hill Mall. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan dengan metode hand counter,yang digunakan untuk menghitung tiap jenis kendaraan yang masuk selama dua minggu. Dari hasil analisis didapat karkteristik parkir sebagai berikut .Indeks Parkir maksimum kendaraan roda empat sebesar 1,06. Kendaraan roda dua sebesar 0,85, kendaraan Bus sebesar 2,5 dan untuk kendaraan Truk 1,5. Pergantian parkir roda empat sebesar 0.49 kendaraan/petak/jam. Roda dua sebesar 0.23 kendaraan/petak/jam, Bus sebesar 1.3 kendaraan/petak/jam. Dan untuk truk sebesar 0.6 kendaraan/petak/jam. Untuk kapasitas parkir untuk kendaraan roda dua masih dapat menampung kendaraan pada jam puncak. Sedangkan kapasitas parkir untuk kendaraan roda empat, bus dan truk pada jam puncak sudah sudah tidak dapat menampung kendaraan. Kata Kunci : Karakteristik Parkir, Indeks Parkir, Nagoya Hill Mall / Nagoya Hill Mall is a Mall that has been established in the city of Batam Island, Riau It is necessary to provide a suitable of vehicle parking area, since there are a lot of people come to visit the Nagoya Hill Mall. This research is purposed to evaluate the parking characteristic at the Nagoya Hill Mall. The primer data collection is carried out based on the hand counter method for counting each type of the vehicle entrance. From the analysis result was found the parking characteristics as following: maximum of Parking Index of the 4 wheels vehicle was 1,06. The 2 wheels vehicle was 0,85. The bus vehicle was 2,5. The truck vehicle was 1,5. The rotation of the 4 wheels vehicle was 0.49 unit / row / hour. The 2 wheels vehicle was 0.23 unit / row / hour. The bus vehicle was 1.3 unit/row/hour. The truck vehicle was 0.6 unit / row / hour. The parking capacity for the 2 wheels vehicle is enough and still be able to covering even during the peak season.
