Abstract :
The objectives of this study were to find out the meaning of moral and educational values and to find out moral and educational values presented in Small Great Things novel. The writer used qualitative method in this thesis. The sources of this data were primary data and secondary data. In findings the writer found seven moral values those are respect, self-control, acceptance, kindness, responsibility, politeness, and honesty. Furthermore, the writer found four educational values in the novel such as religion educational value, culture educational value, social educational value and moral educational value. The characters in the novel indirectly implied the meaning of the moral and educational values; therefore the readers can understand the novel easily. The implication of this study to the teaching English as a foreign language is that the values inside the novel. In the other words when the teachers teach literature explicitly they teach about the values to the students.
