Abstract :
Kelurahan Batu Urip Taba experiences population growth every year, so that the need for clean water supply facilities and infrastructure is urgently needed by the local community. With the increasing population in Batu Urip Taba Village, the population's need for clean water will certainly increase, if an imbalance between the availability of clean water and the number of residents can result in a lack of clean water supply for the community. For that we need an evaluation of the availability and amount of clean water needs by a local drinking water company to meet the needs of the population. Clean water is a basic requirement for every living thing, especially for humans. The population growth that continues to increase in Batu Urip Taba Village will cause an increase in the need for clean water. The need for clean water in Batu Urip TabaI Village is managed by PDAM Tirta Bukit Sulap, where the source of raw water is taken from the Kasie River, Apur River, Kellingj River. The purpose of this study is to calculate the need for clean water in 2020, using the 2019 data prediction. This study uses the Geometric Method to calculate the projected number of population for the next 1 year. From the results of the Urip Taba Stone Village, there is still a water shortage 3.78 lt / second. To meet the need for clean water in 2020, an increase in water production by 3.78 lt / second must be carried out so that the initial water production of 2.25 lt / second must be 6.15 lt / second.
