Abstract :
The construction of a new shopping center in Palembang is very rapid. This resulted in the first shopping center in Palembang which incidentally was International Plaza losing competitiveness from other shopping centers. Therefore we need a movement to preserve the historic area with revitalization and conservation measures in a historical area in general and Palembang in particular. Because the historic area can be the identity of a city that has an important role in the growth of the city formed by a cultural civilization. One of the right solutions in reviving a historic area is by making a new function of the old function in these buildings.
