Abstract :
The railway in Indonesia begins with the groundbreaking of the railway
building in the village of Kemijen, Friday 17 June 1864, by the Dutch Indian
governor-general, Mr. L. a. A baron sloet van den beele. Construction was initiated
by ir led "naamlooze venootschap nederlandsch indische spoorweg maatschappij"
(nv. nism). J. P DE bordes from intelligence to village load (26 km) with the width
of sepur 1435 mm. It was opened for a public transportation on Saturday, August
10, 1867, that finally encouraged investors to build railroad in other areas. Not
surprisingly, the growth of the railway road between 1864 and 1900 was thriving.
If 1867 was 25 km. 1870 to 110 km., 1880 to 405 km.
The Prabumulih city was created under the law of the Indonesian republic
of Indonesia number 6 in 2001 and was finally inaugurated as the city government
on October 17, 2001, which consisted of 14 denunciations, 12 villages and 15
villages. Then in 2006 the prabumulih grew to 6 seedlings, 22 veils and 15
villages. Geographically the territory of the prabumulih is situated between 3o - 4
degrees south and 104o - 105o longitude, as the area area of the prabumulih city is
42,162 ha.
Design of the railway station used the modern post architecture, based on
the use of materials and fasces so that it was felt there was a correlation between
the station and the building concept and to create an image against the station it
self.
