Abstract :
PT. Pertamina Persero RU III located JL. Beringin I, Plaju, Komperta, Plaju. Ships operating at the jetty of 10 types of tankers that carry oil and have a 30x30x400cm side fender on each side of the pier's damaged front. The damage that occurs with the erosion of the rubber fender results in a lack of effectiveness of the fender on the pier. Dimensions of 30x30x400 cm fender and fender system is a rubber fender produced by Sumitomo manufacturer with square fender type which has an absorbency of 2.60 tm impact energy, force due to wind and force due to current 48.03 tons. From the results of the absorption analysis of the fender system due to the force of the ship at the dock PT. Pertamina Persero Palembang City is known to be able to absorb the fender system's berthing force and the mooring force (force due to wind and force due to current) in the last 5 years.
