Abstract :
ABSTRACT
The development of today?s concrete technology has improved rapidly with
additiona materials that can support the improvement and quality of the desired
concrete quality. Of the added ingredients, ammong others Metakaolin and
Superplasticizer in addittional to reducing of concrete, can also help improve the
quality of concrete.
The purpose of this research is a to know thw effect of metakaolin and
superplasticizer additional to K-400 concrete compressive strength. The sample used
is cube 15 x 15 x 15 cm, at age 7, 14, and 28 days. With variations of Normal
Concrete and Superplasticizer 1,5% + Metakaolin 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% with 9
samples in each variation.
The results showed that the value of concrete compressive strength at 28
days old toward Normal Concrete was 409,5 Kg/Cm2 whereas in the addition of
Superplasticizer 1,5% dan Metakaolin 10% at 28 days the optimum value was 450,9
Kg/Cm2
. So Superplasticizer and Metakaolin greatly effects the normal compressive
strength of the concrete to be higher.
