Abstract :
In this study the authors compared saka river sand and cape sand in a mixture of concrete. This researcher intends to find out the comparison between saka river sand and cape sand with the quality of the K-300 concrete compressive strength test.
This study used a cube shaped specimen with a size of 15x15x15 Cm3. The total number of test specimens in this study was 30 samples, each sample was 6 samples in 6 conditions, namely tanjung raja sand concrete, saka river sand concrete, 70% tanjung raja sand concrete + 30% saka river sand concrete, concrete with sand tanjung raja 30% + saka river concrete 70%, concrete with sand tanjung raja 50% + concrete sand saka river 50%.
After the concrete compressive strength test, the characteristic concrete compressive strength at 28 days, with tanjung raja sand concrete 306.98 kg/cm2, and concrete with saka river sand 308.61 kg/cm2. While the compressive strength value of concrete characteristics with 70% tanjung raja sand + 30% river sand that is 310.72 Kg/Cm2, while tanjung raja sand concrete 30% + saka river sand 70% ie 321.01 Kg/Cm2, while tanjung raja sand 50% + 50% saka river sand, 321.37 kg/cm2. From these results it shows that river sand alone is better than cape sand.
