Abstract :
The purposes of this study are to analyze the existing drainage system in knowing the drainage system pattern, the shape of the cross-section channel, the water stream pattern, the channel capacity to accommodate the runoff debit from flood and to determine factors which cause the water puddle or flood in the drainage system in Jalan Serda KKO Usman Ali.
The rainfall distribution analysis is performed with the Normal, Log Normal, Pearson III Log and Gumbel distribution. Futhermore, in the selected rainfall results is the distribution of Log Pearson III 10-year return period with a rainfall score was 134.89 mm where the monobe method, rainfall intensity scores for the 10-year return period were I1 = 0.000386 m / sec, I2 = 0.000437 m / sec, I3 = 0,000534 m / sec, I4 = 0,000458 m / sec.
The result of this study shows that the drainage system in Jalan Serda KKO Usman Ali kelurahan Sungai Buah Palembang uses the elbow drainage system pattern and influenced by the tidal. The existing stream pattern is an even stream due to the even / same cross-section as the square. Many sediment precipitates in each channel for 40-70 cm make channel capacity cannot accommodate the water optimally. The narrowing of the channel collector makes the rate of water flow obstructed. Then, seeing from the capacity calculation of the channel, two channels cannot accommodate the channel debit.
