Abstract :
Concrete is a material that generally becomes the community's need for infrastructure construction facilities which is increasing along with the times, therefore the selection of concrete as the main raw material for building construction is very important. The basic ingredients of concrete consist of binder or cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and water. Polycarboxylate is a superplasticizer admixture material which generally has a big influence in increasing workability which means it can accelerate and also increase the compressive strength of concrete. This polycarboxylate is the most effective superplasticizer. Being able to reduce the water content up to 40% and can be used for high quality concrete, the ratio of water and cement obtained is0.2 and has a good slump value does not cause delays to get the strength to be achieved. Concrete compressive strength is a picture of the quality of concrete that shows the performance of concrete in fulfilling its function to curb the load it receives. After testing the concrete compressive strength in the KN results, converted into Kg then it must be multiplied by 102 Kg because 1 Kn = 102 Kg, and divided by 225 to get the concrete compressive strength (Kg / Cm2).
