Abstract :
Work stress is a condition that exceeds the limits of an individual's abilities, where the individual is unable to do his or her job. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between work stress and work productivity of filigree craftsmen in Mongolato Village, Kec. Telaga, Kab. Gorontalo. This type of research uses quantitative research methods with a cross sectional design. The population in this research was 84 respondents, with a total sampling technique. The research instrument uses a questionnaire with a statistical test, namely Chi-Square. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between work stress and the work productivity of filigree craftsmen and the P value = 0.005 < 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis of 84 respondents, it was found that filigree craftsmen experienced moderate work stress with work productivity of 17 respondents, of which 6 respondents had sufficient productivity, and 11 respondents had good work productivity. Craftsmen who experienced heavy work stress with work productivity were 67 respondents, of which 48 respondents had sufficient work productivity, and 19 respondents had good work productivity. The conclusion of the research is that there is a relationship between work stress and work productivity. Filigree craftsmen should regularly have recreation together, always be united in doing their work to reduce work stress, and always maintain accuracy, neatness and always maintain discipline in their work so that they can further increase work productivity.
