Abstract :
In the first stage of childbirth, the mother will experience pain, restlessness, anxiety, and willnot be able to rest in peace. One way to treat pain is with oxytocin massage. This research aimsto determine the effect of oxytocin massage on childbirt pain at the Zainal Umar Sidiki Hospital,North Gorontalo Regency. This research uses a quantitative experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design model. The sample used purposive sampling with a sample size of30 respondents. Data were collected using observation sheets and data analysis using pairedsample T test analysis with a significance level of 95% (?=0.05), the mean value was obtainedbefore the oxytocin massage was 6.47 and after the oxytocin massage the mean value was 4.73and the statistical test results obtained p= 0.000, so it can be concluded that there is an effect ofoxytocin massage on labor pain. This research was conducted to help childbirth mothers inreduce pain through oxytocin massage.
