Abstract :
Counseling is a dynamic personal relationship between two people who try to solve a problem by considering it together so that in the end it becomes easier for people to solve the problem based on self-determination. This study aims to determine the effect of health counseling on the interest in postponing risky pregnancies in PUS under the age of 20 years in the Mootilango Health Center working area. Method; The research was conducted using quantitative methods with a sample size of 22 couples of childbearing age. Using a questionnaire with hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon test.
Research results; Interest in delaying a pre-test pregnancy is mostly in the low category among couples of childbearing age under 20 years in the Mootilango Health Center Working Area. Interest in delaying a post-test pregnancy is mostly in the high category among couples of childbearing age under 20 years in the Working Area of the Public Health Center Mootilango and health counseling have a positive and significant effect on interest in postponing risky pregnancies in PUS under 20 years of age in the Mootilango Health Center working area.
