Abstract :
Hypertension is a condition which is often found in primary health care with an increased riskof morbidity and mortality in accordance with increased systolic and diastolic pressure which isthe main cause of heart failure, stroke and kidney failure. The aim of this research is todetermine the effect of cucumber juice on reducing hypertension in injection acceptors for 3months in the Telaga Biru Health Center. This method is quantitative research with a preexperimentaldesigntypeonegrouppretest-posttest(singlegroupinitialtestandfinaltest).Thepopulationwere birth control acceptors who used 3 month injectable birth controlcontraception and had hypertension and the sample was 15 acceptors. The statistical analysisused was the Wilcoxon test. The results showed the average systolic and diastolic hypertensionin hypertensive respondents before and after being given cucumber juice using the Wilcoxon testobtained a p-value (2-tailed Asymp. Sig for systolic blood pressure of 0.001 and 2-tailed Asymp.Sig for diastolic blood pressure of 0.001), then Ha is accepted, thus it can be concluded there isan effect of cucumber juice on reducing hypertension in 3-month injection acceptors in theTelaga Biru Health Center work area.
