Abstract :
Perineal rupture is a tear that occurs in the perineum during childbirth.Perineal rupture is experienced by 85% of women who give birth vaginally.This research was carried out at RSIA Sitti Khadijah Gorontalo. The aim isto determine the effect of birth attendants on the incidence of perinealrupture in normal delivery. The design is analytical observational with crosssectional approach. The sample was 34 people using the techniquesampling total sampling. This research uses observation sheets birthattendant and the incidence of perineal rupture. Data analysis using the chisquare statistical test shows the existence of a helping influence delivery onthe incidence of perineal rupture in normal delivery with p value 0.009. Inconclusion, birth attendants can influence events perineal rupture in normaldelivery.
