Abstract :
This study aims to determine the extent to which the successful implementation ofRegional Regulation Number 6 of 2017 concerning Regional Retribution in increasingretribution revenue in Gorontalo Regency. This research uses a descriptive method witha qualitative approach. The results show that several factors cause the regionalregulation to not run optimally, including the lack of understanding and awareness of thecommunity about the obligation to pay retribution, human resources in the marketcoordinator team that are still lacking both in quantity and quality and the application ofsanctions that have not been maximized against people who do not pay retribution. Asa result, the target of retribution revenue in the trade sector is only achieved for someyears, which causes the realization of the local regulation ineffective
