Abstract :
The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of policies in preventing stunting in Kema District, North Minahasa Regency. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation studies. The research results showed that there were 3 programs run by the Kema District government to prevent stunting, namely Socialization, Posyandu and Stunting Kitchen. In carrying out these 3 programs, there are 3 aspects that measure the smoothness of the program, namely 1) The level of compliance with applicable regulations, 2) The smooth implementation of routine functions, and 3) The realization of the desired performance and impact has not gone well. Even though the program is running smoothly according to the provisions, various weaknesses are still found in other indicators. In the research, several inhibiting factors were also found in the implementation of the program, namely factors such as lack of human resources, lack of public awareness and genetic factors from the family. So it is hoped that the government can improve the smooth running of the program by supporting capable human resources and the stunting kitchen program can become a permanent program that is implemented once a week
