Abstract :
Mothers who have difficulty adapting to childbirth pain can cause uncoordinateduterine contractions which can result in prolongation of the first stage of labor and impairedfetal well-being. This research aims to determine the effect of familysupport on the intensity of childbirth pain. The design used quantitative with across-sectional approach, the population used 30 mothers giving birth with totalsampling therefore the total sample was 30 mothers. The results of the univariate analysisshowed the highest famnily support was good family support of 25 people and the highestpain intensity was moderate pain of 25 people with a value ofPvalue = 0.000 < 0.05. There is an influence of family support on the intensity oflabor pain at RSIA Siti Khadijah, Gorontalo City. The results can be used asinformation for birthing mothers and families which can be applied in increasingfamily support to reduce the problem of labor pain.
