Abstract :
Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease or blood vessel disorder in the brain, characterized by death by brain tissue. This occurs due to reduced oxygen blood flow to the brain or a condition where brain cells are damaged because they do not get enough oxygen and nutrients. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of post-stroke patients. Analytic descriptive research design with a Cross-Sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling with 68 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire sheet with the study results showed good family support for as many as 53 respondents (77.9%) and sufficient family support for as many as 15 respondents (22.1%). While the quality of life is good, there are 53 respondents (77.9%), and the quality of life is less than 15 respondents (22.1%). The statistical test results obtained a p-value = 0.000 with ? <0.05. There is a significant relationship between family support and the quality of life of post-stroke patients. This is because brain function does not fully improve, so it experiences damage and mild cognitive weakness, and loss of memory function. This physical disability causes the patient?s quality of life to decrease. It is hoped that good family support can improve the quality of life of post-stroke patients.
