Abstract :
ABSTRACT Menopause is a period when the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles caused ekstrogen reduced and progesterone hormones. At the time of menopause change soccur that causes physical and psychological changes in self-concept (self-esteem). The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between self-concept (self-esteem) stress during menopause. The study design uses analytical correlation with a simple random sampling method. Population is all post menopausal women aged 40-59 years in the village of Bogorejo Bancar Tuban up to 40 people, with total sample of 37 people. The research instrument wich questionnaires losed. Editing using data encryption, punctuation, tabulation and Spearman test. Based on SPSS 18.0 statistical tests result so obtained from the analysis of Spearman test with α = 0.05 p = 0.000 value where this signmeans p <0.05 as H1 accepted wich is that there is a relationship between the self-concept (self-esteem), with emphasis at menopause on the age of 40-59 years in the village of Bogorejo Bancar Tuban. Expected results of this research may provide benefits to the health and education of women who underwent the concept it self (self-esteem) and stress there are menopausal woman.
