ABSTRACT Siti Komariyah, 2015. Relations Knowledge and Attitudes of parents with preschool dental care in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul AR II Made Lamongan. S-1 program Kepererawatan Theses Supervisor STIKES Muhammadiyah Lamongan (1) Lilian Maghfuroh, S.Kep., Ns. M.Kes, Supervisor (2) Hj. Andri Tri Kusuma N, SSiT. M.Kes Dental care has an important role in daily life. Based on the fiirst survey shown that of the 10 childrens 3-6 years old got 4 childrensdid brush their teeth once a day and 6 children brush their teeth twice a day. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of parents with dental care in preschoolers. Design of this research is the analytical with cross sectional approach. Population of 35 parents and the samples of 33 parents with simple random sampling. Data taken with the closed questionnaire in kindergarten AisyiyahBustanul MadeLamongan Athfal II on December 2014, with the independent variables of the knowledge and attitudes of parents and dependent variables of dental care, the analysis is using SPSS for Windows version 18.0 by contingency coefficient test with p <0.05. The test results of knowledge with dental care has correlation value obtained 0.733 0.000 with significant (p <0.05).Then testing the attitudes of parents with dental care values obtained0.806 0.000with significant correlation (p<0.05). The results of this study shows there are correlation between knowledge of dental care for preschool and parent attitudes relationships with dental treatment in preschool children with a positive correlation. Based on the results of research, to increase the role of health workers in providing advice to parents about the care of children's teeth, way to brush child’s teethwith good and right.
