Abstract :
Artificial intelligence is an application to help learn English. The most frequently used web platform globally today is AI. This research aims to investigate students' perspectives in using artificial intelligence as mobile-assisted language learning to increase learning motivation, whether they have negative or positive perceptions of this. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach and the research instrument used closed and open questionnaires with a total of 50 respondents in semesters 2 to 6. This research found that the majority of students had a positive perception of the use of artificial intelligence in learning languages. students believe that this tool is comfortable and fun to develop a new atmosphere in learning English, it also increases their motivation because it is interesting to improve their individual learning abilities, they can find a lot about English lessons in a short duration although students sometimes get distracted because of the network but they already know their own goal to practice consistently at any time and anywhere. Through this tool, students acquire a lot of vocabulary, quotes, or text passages that really help them to improve their knowledge especially when they are involved in English lessons both inside and outside class hours.
