Abstract :
The danger signs of the puerperium, according to Manuba (2014) are post partum hemorrhage, foul-smelling lochea (odor from the vagina), uterine sub-involution (Diminution of the Disrupted Uterus), thrombophlebitis (venous swelling), abdominal pain and pelvis , pelvio peritonitis is limited to the pelvic region, depression after childbirth, dizziness and excessive weakness, maternal body temperature> 38OC. In this study aims to determine the description of postpartum mother's knowledge about the danger signs of childbirth at Karang Pule Health Center in 2019 The research method used in the study is descriptive with cross sectional approach and a population of 446 people, a sample of 40 respondents, and the sampling technique used is Accidental Sampling and data taken by interview using a questionnaire The results of the study of 40 respondents showed that the level of postpartum mothers' knowledge about the danger signs of the puerperium most of the respondents have a good level of knowledge that is 19 respondents (47.5%) and a small portion of respondents have less knowledge level of 5 respondents (5%). The results showed that the majority of respondents aged 20-35 years were 25 respondents (62.5%), the majority of respondents educated to high school were 23 people (57.5%), the majority of respondents did not work ie 31 people (77.5 %), most of the parity of respondents were multipara 32 people (80%). Conclusion: The description of postpartum maternal knowledge about the signs of postpartum danger shows that the majority of respondents have a good level of knowledge that is 19 respondents (47.5%) and a small proportion of respondents have less knowledge level of 5 respondents (5%). because postpartum mothers get information from the KIA book and also from the internet. Suggestion: It is expected to know the danger signs of the puerperium, and can add insight to the puerperal mother about the danger signs of the puerperium by asking health workers at the puskesmas or other health facilities.
