Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal relationships and work environment on employee performance. Interpersonal relationships with indicators of openness, loyalty and tolerance, mutual respect and familiarity. Work environment with indicators of workspace conditions, cleanliness, air conditions, calm and lighting or lighting. Meanwhile, employee performance is based on indicators of quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness and work commitment. The population in this study were 99 functional employees at the Muhammadiyah University Palopo, the sample in this study were 50 respondents. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the interpersonal relationship variable had no effect on employee performance with tcount t table (6.607> 2.011). While the results of testing interpersonal relationships and work environment together have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Muhammadiyah University of Palopo with the acquisition of fcount> ftabel (26.418> 3.20). The coefficient of determination (R ^ 2) on the adjusted R ^ 2 is 0.529, which means that the employee performance variable can be explained by the independent variable, the remaining 52.9% is influenced by other variables outside of this study.
