Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the ability to recognize geometric shapes through the application of puzzle games for children in play group B at Kasih Ibu Kindergarten of Palopo. This research was a classroom action research. The subject of this study was the children of group B of Kasih Ibu Kindergarten of Palopo. The number of subjects in this study was 21 children. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and documentation techniques. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four meetings. The results show that the application of puzzle games to increase the ability of geometric shapes can be applied in Kasih Ibu Kindergarten of Palopo. The results of observations before the action showed a percentage of 43%. In the first cycle increased to 64% and in the second cycle has reached the success indicator to 86%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of puzzle games can increase the ability to recognize geometric shapes for children in group B at Kasih Ibu Kindergarten of Palopo.
