Abstract :
Based on the results of the pre-test, the smash ability of the Rajawali Club athletes was still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying plyometric exercises in the sand to increase smash ability. This study applied a pre-test and post-test group design with the number of measurements of volleyball smash skills. The data were analyzed using SPSS 23. The results show that plyometric exercises in the sand has an effect on the volleyball smash ability. This can be seen from the average post-test result of 9.60 which is higher than the average pre-test score of 4.65. It was also found that the calculated t-value was 15.079. Thus, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant effect of plyometric exercise in the sand on the volleyball smash ability of the Rajawali Club athletes.
