Abstract :
This study aims to find out what comparative studies are the factors that affect the income of seaweed farmers in the city of Palopo. The population that is the subject is seaweed farmers in 4 sub-districts, namely Wara, East Wara, North Wara, and Sendana sub-districts. And the sample in this study amounted to 100 pond farmers in the city of Palopo. This type of research is descriptive quantitative by taking primary and secondary data related to the income of seaweed farmers in the city of Palopo. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 30. Based on the results of the research that the t-count value of the technology variable is 0.989 < t-table value (1.661) so that there is no effect on seaweed production with a coefficient value of 1.027. Based on the t-count value of the length of business variable of 0.883 < t-table value (1.661) so that there is no effect on seaweed production with a coefficient value of 10.087. The t-count value of the labor variable is 2.378> the t-table value (1.661) so that there is an influence on the production of seaweed with a coefficient value of 151.974. Based on the research, the t-count value of the capital variable is 2.311> the t-table value (1.661) so that there is an influence on the production of seaweed with a coefficient value of 0.000. seaweed. The t-count value of the land area variable is 8.877> the t-table value (1.661) so that there is an influence on the seaweed production with a coefficient value of 811.516. The t-count value of the extension variable is 1.455 < t-table value (1.661) so that there is no effect on seaweed production based on the coefficient value of 150.557. Several factors have a significant effect and some of them are influential but not significant. Simultaneously it was concluded that the cost of technology, length of business, labor, capital, land area and labor together had an effect on seaweed production in Palopo city with an F-count > F-table (40.952> 3.090).
