Abstract :
This study aimed (1) to determine whether there was a contribution of running speed to the long jump ability of the students of SMKN 1 Palopo. (2) To find out whether there was a contribution of leg explosive power to the long jump ability of the studentsof SMKN 1 Palopo. (3) To find out whether there was a balance contribution to the long jump ability of the students of SMKN 1 Palopo. (4) To find out whether there was a contribution of running speed, leg explosive power, and balance to the long jump ability of the students of SMKN 1 Palopo. This research applied descriptive correlational research. Sample was take by using random sampling through choosing on objects or existing data sources. The results of this study show that (1) There is a significant contribution of running speed to the long jump ability of students at SMKN 1 Palopo namely 50.9%. (2) There is a significant contribution of leg explosive power to the long jump ability of students at SMKN 1 Palopo namely 55.8%. (3) There is a significant contribution of balance to the long jump ability of the students of SMKN 1 Palopo namely 68.7%. (4) There is a contribution of running speed, leg explosive power and balance to the long jump ability of students
of SMKN 1 Palopo namely 81.3%.
