Abstract :
Early childhood is an optimal period for development, teachers, parents and society
need to understand how important early childhood education is in developing all
aspects of child development, both physical-motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, religious
and moral, language and art.There are two research questions of this study namely 1.
How is the description of children?s fine motor of group B before and after Finger
Painting Activities, 2. Is there an influence of Finger Painting Activities on the
development of children?s fine motor skills?. Based on the previous research question,
we can see that this study aims to find out the description of children?s fine motor of
group B before and after Fingger Painting Activities and the effect of of finger painting
activities at TK Tunas Harapan Kota Palopo. this study used pre-experimental research
design. There were 11 children as subjects in this study. In collecting the data, the
researcher used observation and documentation.in analysing the data, Wilcoxon
different Test is used. The results showed that the fine motor abilities of children have
improved after and before the treatmen. It can be proven by looking the calculated data
where T value (55)> T table (11) and Z count (2.80)> Z table (1,645). So it can be
concluded that the null hypothesis is accepted.
