Abstract :
Students at SMPI Baidhaul Ahkam had difficulties in delivering messages orally, mostly due to a lack of confidence and motivation. This study aims to describe how teacher feedback is applied in teaching speaking and how students respond to the feedback. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through observations and interviews with teachers and students. The results show that feedback given by teachers plays an important role in improving students' speaking ability. Teachers provide feedback both verbally to correct mistakes and provide motivation to students. Students' response to the feedback was positive, where most students felt motivated and
helped, especially when the feedback was constructive and specific. This study concludes that teacher feedback has a positive impact on students' speaking ability. Teachers are expected to continue providing feedback to help students improve their speaking skills.
